As someone who’s in the gym and also enjoys cooking, it’s a lot like cooking from scratch. You go off a basic recipe (I.e. workout routine/diet), try it out, and make adjustments as you find out what does and doesn’t work for you. It’s a lot of trial and error, and there is no one size fits all.
Electrolytes aren’t needed unless you are sweating a ton and aren’t replacing them through food, don’t worry about those too much, pre workout isn’t needed but food wise 30-60g carbs 30-60 min before a workout, protein post workout, diet wise just make sure you are getting enough protein and eating enough fat. Also don’t forget about fiber
Also, since it’s already happening, avoid falling into the influencer trap. Most of the time when you see a fitness influencer with a crazy physique, it’s the result of great genetics, intense workouts and diet, or unnatural means like surgery or steroids. They’re not selling a fool proof workout, they’re selling the dream of achieving their physique. And even if it is all natural and achievable, what works for them might not work for you. Focus more on science-based fitness guides.
