
Tracking calories and focusing on macros are the biggest part imo. Finding meals that are higher in protein and/or fiber is key to feeling fuller for longer. Another thing that might help with the “mental” aspect of losing the weight (like not seeing progress visually, feeling stuck, etc) is to only weigh yourself on one morning once a week and to try to take progress pics once every month or so
Keep things simple and know your patterns. For example if you know you’re likely to get discouraged by a bad weigh in, weigh yourself weekly instead of daily and understand how big fluctuations can be. Also don’t be too aggressive in your deficit. Coming from someone who started the summer at 231 and is now 205.
