ik imma sound like the person in the pic, but honestly, PCOS does make it hard. impossible? no. PCOS is ovarian cysts. they also produce testosterone. that excess testosterone is confused because it’s a female body with estrogen pumping around. so the testosterone binds to a receptor cite and sits as fat in the body. the body stores all testosterone as excess fat, and your body is constantly creating it too. this slows down your metabolism because your body is constantly creating fat.

I cannot comprehend the degree of coping someone must be doing in order to convince themselves that the amount of calories they are eating has nothing to do with their ability to lose weight. I don’t want to insult anyone and call them dumb, but it might be preferable to just be stupid than to be this deeply in denial.

I mean it’s same logic as skinny people saying they eat so much food but can’t gain weight. I was that person and then started actually tracking cals and actually started gaining weight 🤯🤯

I’m a fitness coach and have worked with over 50 clients for weight loss. I hear all the time about PCOS, insulin resistance, slow metabolism, etc. I get them ACTUALLY tracking their calories with a food scale and an app, not just guessing, and have them hit a step goal, and guess what?!?! The fat melts right off!! 🤯🤯 It isn’t rocket science, it’s accuracy and accountability.

Really proud of you btw. It takes a lot of accountability to understand that you are in control of your situation, and that you have the capacity to change it.

i’m not saying it’s impossible, it is, i have PCOS and tbh, only thing that got me over that bridge was excess cardio. so so so much cardio you wanna puke.

birth control helps! some don’t like birth control tho, but it stops the binding of testosterone, and creates more estrogen to counteract
