Is having a Gatorade zero during a weightlifting session especially on a leg day more beneficial than drinking just water?

Its best if you take it a few hours before since the sodium and potassium help your body hold onto water. Proper Hydration is something you prepare for. Its not instantaneous, and since the Gatorade has no carbs or sugar, it won't give you any energy/fuel mid workout
