Then that’s average, in the most technical sense of the word. You’ve got the proper baseline, but you still have plenty room to improve

I’d disagree with average. Being able to bench your body weight (or just over) is something a lot of people struggle to get to and is a huge accomplishment. Your standards seem a little jaded and unrealistic for casual-intermediate lifters

Like I said, average in the technical sense of the word. Roughly half of people can bench more, roughly half bench less. Especially in regards to one rep max

Exactly like I said; average, IN THE TECHNICAL SENSE OF THE WORD, in response to a post made in a Gym community. I made proper qualifications to ensure I wasn’t being imprecise or dickish.
