
Because it’s what’s popular on social media. The pendulum has swung from the 2010s where it was corny to use gear and everyone bragged about being natty. Then as social media grew, gear use began to grow but people tried to still claim natty, hence the fake natty epidemic. Then as the fake natty epidemic got out of hand, people were praised for just being honest about their usage. While the honesty was refreshing, it made everyone too comfortable with gear usage especially at an early age.
