Idk why people refuse to believe that funding public services actually works. There was a small gym that used to have stinky issues but they hired more cleaning staff. The rest of the gyms are too well ventilated, they never had a problem. Anyway here’s the biggest one with its weight room, there’s also a basketball court, track, cardio, running trails, tennis…

with love, what the comment meant was that republicans are politically against socially provided services, such as your city’s gym system (or like, universal healthcare that would operate similarly)

Yes exactly. Rs in my city are all for lowering taxes lowering taxes blah blah. Well now because of a budget shortfall, the city had to start charging for the gyms in the first place. They used to be free (tax dollars paid for them.)
