middle aged man complimented my legs in the gym very respectfully. just a reminder that no matter your age or gender, you can compliment people without it being weird!! it makes people feel great!

I’m genuinely curious- what did he say/how did he word it? As a young man, I’d be terrified to say anything to a woman about her legs in the gym

I also would like to hear what he said, I’m 23 and wouldn’t dream of complimenting a girl at the gym cuz I don’t wanna come off as a creep

Yeah, I can’t imagine for the life of me how I would say this and not come across as creepy.

He probably avoided spacing out 🧑🏼‍🚀 or introduced himself instead of saying daaamnn

Are u purposely being useless or what? Guys are afraid they will come off as creepy even with a simple compliment, I’m just asking what he said, damn

Something like “hi, i’m X and i just wanted to say i’m impressed by your quads, you must squat a lot!” would be nice because they focus on the woman’s capability + beauty without objectifying her

That’s fair and sounds totally reasonable to me, but I feel like it’d really depend on the woman. Many would probably very nice and appreciative of the comment, but I can also imagine some being weirded out like “why are you staring at my legs” and then I’d feel like a creep

if you’re genuine and a girl is weirded out, then it’s more her problem she can’t take a compliment.

basically he asked my age first (probably because he’s like 50) and then said “I just wanted to let you know you have really good legs, but i wasn’t trying to come off as creepy or anything (again more because of his age). do you play a sport?” i said i used to and he said “well you did good maintaining them nice job. have a good workout.” and walked away.

obviously it’s a little different cus he was older. you don’t necessarily have to say “i’m not trying to be creepy” if she’s closer to your age. it also might be different if you find her attractive and want to talk to her because of that (totally fine), the “do you play a sport?” line is pretty good for a short convo. but you have to gauge her reaction and responses to not like overstay your welcome if you know what i mean

😂 yeah I was. But realistically just act normal and not flirtatious, results may vary dependent on how you look but you probably know that.

he like specifically said he wasn’t trying to be creepy but that’s more because of his age
