To add to #2, walking is an effective way to increase a calorie deficit without necessarily eating less. However, it would be wiser to eat in a small deficit regardless if you struggle with being on top of your daily steps. 7,000-12,000 steps a day is a good range, I would start on the lower end and work my way up every other week. The health app on IOS works decent enough for tracking steps, but if you really wanted to you could invest in a pedometer for more accuracy.
In all seriousness it’s just calories in calories out. Eating less calories than your maintenance will lower your weight even if it plateaus for a little bit. Just need to make sure you’re eating enough protein to maintain your current muscle mass. There are studies showing you can lose weight eating only junk food as long as you have less calories than what your body is consuming in a day aka RMR plus physical movement/exercise.
