Any tips for starting out for working out, like where to start? Also what time of day yall work out and why so I can make a better informed decision on when to try and add it to my schedule(I work 8 hours 2/3 times a week and I’m a full time student)

tons of workout routines available online, find one you like and stick to it. work out whatever time of day fits your schedule best. I personally like to lift in the evening because I have 4 meals in me by that time and more energy to lift and usually perform better than if I go in the morning after only one meal.

Do you find working out at night causes you to have trouble sleeping or is it the opposite and it helps you sleep?

I don’t know if i’ve really noticed an effect either way, it’s hard to say. I work full time so I get to the gym around 5:30 and then am there until 6:30-7ish and then I go home, have dinner, shower, pack up food for the next day, and get to bed between 9 and 10. no problems falling asleep or staying asleep

Thank you so much I really appreciate you taking the time to help me! I’ll probably try working out after class on days I don’t work cause I work 2-10 and by the end of it I’m dead Any recommendations on what to eat for meals? I do eggs in the morning but usually don’t eat anything else substantial till night cause I just don’t have an appetite

you’re def going to want to eat more so you have energy to work out and also to help actually grow muscle. I personally find it easier to eat more smaller meals than like 3 bigger ones so I eat five times a day. I have a bagel and eggs in the morning, a yogurt bowl & some muffins that I make mid morning, sweet potatoes ground beef & green beans for lunch, rice cakes with honey as a preworkout snack, & rice green beans chicken & avocado for dinner
