I was in a similar boat atm, have you tried body recomp. While it’s a lot slower it does still build muscle and with this method you only need to be in a calorie surplus of around 250.

a recomp actually doesn’t grow muscle any slower than a bulk as long as you have excess body fat to burn. You also don’t need any surplus at all, eating at maintenance is fine
