I’m scared to do squats. Like, I know I should but it’s absolutely terrifying. I’d ask someone for help, but I’m a girl and I don’t want any of the guys in my gym to think I’m trying to flirt. And I haven’t seen any girls doing the squat that I could ask.
Try it with an unloaded bar and watch your form in the mirror or better yet record yourself. Adjust your form slowly. If a bar is too heavy, use the women's bar or even a PVC pipe (most gyms have one for stretching)

look up squat technique videos on tiktok or something and make sure to use really light weight to start and have the safeties set properly. you could also do a machine like hack squats or smith machine squats that will lower your risk of injury

I recommend watching a YouTube video by starting strength or Alex bromly (might have spelt that wrong). They have really good form videos

It’s my form. I’m worried that I’m accidentally gonna crush my neck or go down on the squat and lose balance. It would just be easier to have someone check my form for me and correct me. Maybe if I ever get a gym buddy.

To try and keep from falling forward try to push your butt backwards instead of down if that makes sense and pull your shoulders back

And ofc keep the weight light until you feel confident to move up in weight

Alright, I’ll try my form with the bar on a day when no one is around. Thanks for the form advice!

Yes!! Goodluck and don’t be nervous about trying, no one is fr looking or judging. When I see someone doing something that seems new to them I’m always supporting them in my head.
