Is 30 to 40 mins of cardio 5 days out of the week too much? Especially if I don’t really move much throughout the day and it’s in addition to a good amount of weightlifting

I run about 15-30 minutes after gymming typically. I am an athlete and I have to be strong while exhausted/fast while exhausted. This type of training is good for long term durable muscles, but the emphasis should be put on post workout/run stretching (in order to keep strong and avoid joint/ligament pain)
