Funny thing is I was considering getting back to it eventually but thanks to the amount of disrespect I got on here, I don’t think I’ll ever consider it again. It doesn’t shock me anymore when people say lifting is intimidating because the behavior of the people who make it their life’s worth are appalling.
Long walks are great for general health, but will not prevent/slow down osteoporosis. If you ever were to get any cancer treatment, having lifted weights and gained some muscle would increase your odds of survivability by a considerable amount. Walking is important, but so is lifting weights. You can’t just brush your teeth and not choose to floss.
It’s not even “basic fitness”, OP already stated they get 10k steps on average daily, meaning they’re already living a fairly active lifestyle, which means they are clearly working their body. Weight lifting as an intentional activity (such as with gym equipment) is sometimes not as enjoyable as, say, manual labor or healthcare, or teaching, or any number of things. Who are you to judge a stranger who has the guts to say something wasn’t for them, publicly at that?
I never said they were, you’re proving your illiteracy with the fact that you struggle to comprehend that I said they are likely being active elsewhere, NOT that walking is their only form of activity. You’re being dense and this argument will not be continued, stop being a man whose only personality trait is how much he can lift 😒
