I’m a big girl (230 lb) who just started working out at home , but I’d really like to push myself to go to the gym. I’ve heard some horror stories about getting judged as a bigger person at the gym.. is this true?

I haven’t seen this at my gym, everyone I’ve talked to has been nice and supportive. While there are probably some unfortunate exceptions, most people are really nice and want you to succeed! I hope you do try going to a gym and find a great environment there 😁

Nah I’m a bigger girl who goes to the gym but still struggles, but the struggles have been in my head, not from anyone around me. I try to go when i know it’s not going to be busy to avoid people and to not look dumb in front of too many people when im learning a new workout/machine

As someone who judges big people, the gym is the one place I don’t

The only thing I judge people in the gym for is a lack of spatial awareness
