I am a 5’0 college girl. My watch (Garmin) says I burned 2800 calories today. I am on a bulk. Should I be eating over 3k?

How the hell do you burn 2800 calories in one day

you probably do burn a decent amount of calories per day walking on a hilly campus but 2800 is a ridiculous number. you def shouldn’t trust it. calculate your base metabolic rate using an online calculator and increase that number by a few hundred calories. hit those macros and track your fasted weight for 2 weeks and note your weight change. if it’s increasing you’ve figured it out. good luck!

I have a strong feeling that cal burn count isn’t accurate but personally I’d stay as is and see what changes happen in weight over like a week

Don’t overthink it. Start with consistently eating 3k per day. Set a goal weight for your bulk. Weigh in daily every morning before you consume anything and take the average after about a week. Write it down. Keep doing this. After a few weeks if your weight isn’t going up, increase in increments of somewhere around 250 calories. Keep doing this until you hit your goal weight. Bulk complete!
