My gf doesn't get that me asking her to the gym isn't calling her fat. It's like asking someone to church: “here's this thing that's become a transformative experience for me and a big part of who I am now and I want to share it with you, someone I love.”

Bruh, if y’all’s lives already don’t align like that and you annoyed with her that you posting it on yikyak, it’s not meant to be fr. She has crazy thoughts, and your shii come off to her like a personal attack. It’s not worth it bro. Trust

To be honest man, in the long term a girl like that is going to be very hard to deal with. Hope you make the right decision for yourself

Yup, she just always acts offended and like I’m saying there’s something wrong with her body no matter how I say it, hell I’ve explained it exactly like I do in this post and it didn’t help

I can tell your intentions are genuine and you just want to share something you love with the woman you love, but it’s definitely a tricky situation. you could try asking her to go with you but have her not work out, she could just sit and hang out while you do your workouts so you can be in each others company and she can become more familiar with the environment and everything. and perhaps with time she might start picking up some weights and working out with you

you could also try giving her facts from a longevity perspective, strength training is actually so important for women, as we age and go through menopause and stuff we lose sooo much bone density and muscle mass so it’s important to build a healthy foundation now so we can still be active and able to take care of ourselves later in life

Nah the worst thing I can do with her is tell her why I’m right and she’s wrong, I can explain my perspective as long as I’m still understanding hers, but if I start giving her facts like that that’s not going to go over well

from an outside perspective that seems like a pretty unhealthy mentality for her bro, you might want to reconsider the relationship if she takes facts as a personal attack
