for those building muscle without bulking, how many grams of protein per pound would you recommend? right now i get about 120 grams (i’m ~132lbs/5’6” f) but should i be getting more?

Studies broadly suggests 0.7 to 2 grams per lbs of body weight. So you’d be fine to get the same results at 100g/day. You definitely don’t need more.

120 is fine, 0.8 to 1 grams is typically recommend and you're in that range

You’re getting plenty. Most studies say a gram per LEAN body mass, and since none of us are 100% muscle mass it’s fine to get a little less than what you weigh. I’m 250 and can usually get 220-30 grams in a day, but as long as I get over 200 that’s fine

Generally the rule of thumb is 1 ish gram per pound of body weight so your almost there at 120 so I would try to get it to 132 ish which shouldn’t be too hard

0.73 per pound of bodyweight is the highest amount of protein found to have any benefit in terms of hypertrophy. You only really need 97 to maximize hypertrophy, so 120 is more than enough
