I’m about as new as you can get to a gym, are there any tips you guys have for staying disciplined when going to the gym? Especially when you don’t have a gym buddy?

it’s good you said discipline instead of motivation and i feel like that’s were it starts is having the realization that if you have discipline you are sharpening it every single day by showing up

this is a hot take but i don’t follow a split bc that makes me feel like i have to go rather then wanting to go going to the gym is the most self loving thing you could do for yourself

Go for two weeks no excuses. Once you feel the progress, you’ll feel motivated. Once you see the progress, you’ll be addicted

I’m the opposite and I can’t stay committed unless I have a split because it makes me feel unorganized and like the gym isn’t worthwhile when I don’t have a plan. No hate at all bc I’m glad that works for you I just wanted to share my perspective so OP knows it’s different for everyone 🙏
