You're not loosing enough for the skin to be loose enough for surgery but it will probably be a little less elastic. It's gonna sound goofy but my best advice would be to look up methods people prevent stretch marks during pregnancy because that's also what they use to help their skin shrink back down as much as possible
Loose skin usually only shows up in people who lose a LOT of weight after being extremely obese and while older in age, after the body stops producing as much collagen and you lose your skin elasticity. It’s also a result of rapid weight loss. Just take your time with it and monitor it as you go
Like I’m a college student and also 4’ 11”. To just lose 2 lbs a week I have to do 45 min on the treadmill and elliptical each and then walk atleast 15k steps a week. I also go on incline on both machines so I barely have energy. I’m hopefully graduating this semester but still that’s 90 min in the gym and idk if I have time to strength train but if I should I guess after graduation sure.
When I say a lot, I’m talking 100lbs+. It also unfortunately comes down to genetics, some people rebound immediately on their own and others need surgical intervention. But losing 60 lbs at 20 you’re probably in the clear. If anything, it’ll just take a little extra time to repair and tighten up
I’m 4 11 so if I wanted to lose 2 lbs I have to eat 900 cals and walk 10k steps which is unsafe because a human has to have 1200 cals so in order to eat the 1200 cals and lose 2 lbs I have to have more steps hence 15k steps. That’s why I do more cardio because I have no other choice or else it’s unhealthy
So I’m obese, I have been since I was like 12 that’s 10 plus years. I’ve seen this pattern in the past but if I don’t lose the max I can lose like if I don’t see big progress I will give up, so I have to do this and keep a routine of the gym every day or else I won’t go, and I have to basically eat the same thing every day cuz I’m a picky eater, so naturally if I do the same routine everyday I have to lose the same calories everyday. Everyday I lose 1000 cals or more but at the least 1000 cals
I weigh rn 160, I’m hitting a plateau of 160-162 so I have to increase my intensity on machines. The same thing happened when I was originally going from 170 to 169. But I started at 175ish it was close to my period so I weighed like 178 but yeah, since February I’ve lost 15 lbs by this method. I have a campus nutritionist and he liked what I was doing but I was also fasting for the month of Ramadan so things have obviously changed
Try not weighing in for a month, pick a exact calorie goal track your food, make an investment either a weight loss coach or a food scale, you don’t weigh that much grand scheme so don’t rush too much, you kinda described how mental it is with you, so if you recognize the mental flaws you have with it try to recognize how to get over the idea of HAVING to lose alot of weight each week
But I don’t think it’s mental because every doctors appointment since I was abt 10-12 years old, I’ve been told to do something abt my weight. It’s a medical concern, I have a high bmi and I’m inbred so many illnesses run in my family many many cancers. Sure I want to look nice too but my main thing is genuinely being healthy and to do that I have to keep a routine, I just decided a harsh routine for now because I’m in college and I can attain it if that makes sense
