Scale was only going up, i felt scared confused. Found out I had pcos. Now I’m on pcos medication, on a pcos specific diet, and have been doing strength training. Down 15lbs! Small but i haven’t been this weight in over a year🥹

What do you typically eat for pcos diet? Are certain macros limited or is it perhaps an inflammatory thing? I would love to know

If I remember correctly it's mostly about insulin resistance... I think some people avoid histamine-rich foods for lower inflammation too

Honestly I’m still figuring it out, and planning to see a dietitian soon. But I’m following recommendations I’ve seen, so right now I’m trying dairy/gluten/sugar free. Seeing how that goes and might change it up. But it’s working really well for me right now, and Im starting to feel better. It’s really hard to follow it perfectly but even limiting it has made a difference for me.

Makes sense, many diets can be reduced down to protein priority and reduced simple carbohydrates. I would also prioritize healthy fats from avocados and salmon and such. I’m just doing research trying to understand more for the women in my life, thanks for the help.

^ Agree with the healthy fats! Especially if you're dairy free make sure you're getting enough unsaturated fats since they're precursors for hormones
