Lifting strengthens your joints unless you're doing it wrong

I’m genetically predisposed to having terrible joints, and lifting heavy surely isn’t helping lol

Again, yes it is. Heavy loads strengthens tendons and ligaments. And by your own admission your joint pain is not caused by lifting

My joint pain did not start until I started lifting lol. I completely shattered my right elbow in 2017 and it’s still the arm I get a lot of pain in, especially when I lift heavy lol

Gang regardless of your form lifting puts stress on your joints. Especially if you have bad joints they can hurt after lifting.
