Hey guys I’m currently on the cut and have lost like five pounds in the last two weeks. I’m only trying to lose 1 lb per week, so I think my deficit may be too high. How do yall figure out your maintenance taking muscle into account? Thanks!

There are lots of good apps like “lose it!” that are free to track calories and give a good idea of what maintenance you are at. Also if you have any sort of Apple Watch or something that’s a really good way to get your BMR or an idea of it. Overall worse case pull up Chat and explain your activity level age weight height gender and then get an idea. But a lot of it is just messing around with calories. You are probably burning way more calories than you think, I’d bump up 100-200 calories

it’s probably loss of water weight + less food in your system. your weight can fluctuate up to 10 lbs day to day

BMI claculator, caloric intake calculate, calculate how much you want to lose per week. Usually if it’s a pound a week depending on your size 50-100 calories a week

HUH?! What do you eat on your cut? I’ve been trying to do body recomp for a little over a month now and I’ve only lost like 3 pounds and been maintaining that

I also agree with this and was thinking I might keep the same deficit for ~1 more week. If the scale keeps going down at the same rate then I’ll up calories slightly
