Make it as easy as possible to go, and as hard as possible not to go. Head directly to the gym to or from work. Pack your gym clothes in advance. Create a gym routine that takes less time or switch to a closer gym/home workouts. If you regularly skip for the same reason (say, feeling too tired), remove that obstacle (have caffeine, go to bed earlier, go to the gym anyway and suffer so you are motivated to sleep enough). If you don't like working out now, change your program so it's more fun,
There’s really no secret to it. Aside from having an enjoyable workout routine and adequate diet and rest, you have to find it within yourself to do what must be done, regardless of how you feel. Enjoy motivation when it comes, but do not rely on it. This is the difference between those who succeed and those who fail. Do this, and your goals will be inevitable. Nobody and nothing will be able to stop you, it will only be a matter of time.
“It’s easy to say that as a disciplined person” because that’s exactly what it takes. There is no secret. Odds are, you aren’t reaching your goal by half-assing it twice a week. You must find the discipline go even when you REALLY don’t want to. This is the only thing that separates the achievers from the non-achievers, and any dedicated gym goer knows this. There is no way around it.
