Body fat is not something that can be directly targeted, unfortunately. I’d say that you need to find your Base Metabolic Rate (BMR) and eat 2-300 Kcals under it. That’ll lose you ab 1-1.5lbs per week combined with minimum 30 minutes of any sort of dedicated activity per day. How our fat stores around our body is all genetic and we lose it gradually across the board when losing weight. What do you mean exactly by toning? Are you wanting to put on any muscle mass?
Oh don’t be discouraged, I didn’t mean to make it out to be such a tall task. There’s online tools to find BMR and eating under that and walking/doing some kinda cardio 30-60 minutes a day can get you results. The other thing a lot of people don’t realize is how gradual the results happen. After a month you’ll notice some changes and after a few you’ll notice more. I personally use MyFitnessPal and it is so useful. It sends reminders ab logging meals and automatically has the data for foods.
