
your body is insanely good at adapting to what you’re giving it, which is unfortunately not helpful to people trying to change they’re body. for example, cardio is actually less effective when your in a calorie deficit because your body will burn less calories if it knows you’re intaking less. and if you’re in the same calorie deficit for too long, your body will learn how to use that amount of calories for maintenance almost. it sucks and slows down progress
I started plateauing some last year and did a slow cal increase back up to my maintenance and once I was back up to normal I did that for about 4 weeks before going back to cutting and it helped quite a bit. All together took ab 5/6 weeks beofre I cut again- didnt gain anything back and it was a decent enough reset that my deficit worked again. Like someone else said your body just becomes used to what you’re giving it and what you’re doing
Please don’t pay too much attention to bmi calculations- the number on the scale is not everything and depending on how muscular you are that could be very misleading/ I’ve never looked or felt healthier in my life and it’s the first time I’ve paid more attention to how my body looks/feels vs what the scale says
