I can not stress this enough: gym goers are not focused on other people. We are all afraid of looking stupid and just want to get our workout in as smoothly as possible. Ask for a tour from one of the workers so you know the layout, and make a plan before you go in. I second starting out with just walking on the treadmill. Walking through the door the first couple times will be the hardest part of your journey, but once you do, you won’t ever look back! You got this!
I’ve genuinely never seen even the scariest looking gym bros actually judge someone for working out as long as you put your weights back where they’re supposed to be. Everyone either doesn’t care cause they’re focused on their own workout or will be helpful and supportive. Start out with stuff you’re very comfortable using like a treadmill. Most important step is starting. I know it’s scary, but you just gotta do it, it’ll 100% be worth it. You got this!
