First pain free run in ages!!! I can’t tell you how happy I am, the sun is SHINING
I just want to run. I want to be able to run. There are so few things I’m ever motivated about, and running is one of them, but my body refuses to work with me. I get a right shin splint and/or knee injury every single fkn time no matter what I do. Help.

Now the hard part is containing the excitement so I don’t overdo it on the next few runs…

Would LOVE any tips you might have, I’m trying to get better at running. Some days I can do it better than others

I’ve never been a particularly good runner to begin with (4 miles is my longest ever run, typically run 1-2 miles at around a 10min pace) so I don’t know how much advice I can give, but most of my routine is in the comments of the original post! I really think the key for me is taking it super slow, doing interval running, and stopping before things start to hurt even if I want to keep going. At least that’s where I’m at right now with my knee being what it is
