Does anyone have advice on dealing with scapular winging? Not from like lifting excessive weight, but just from weak stabilizer muscles, I guess. I have EDS and you can see the winging whether I curl a 10 pound dumbbell or a can of black beans.

I have EDS too, the best advice I can say for people like us is to start with zero weight on certain exercises. Do you still see the winging when you do the movement with no weight, or is it any time? It could be influenced by posture and what muscles you’re focusing on activating, if you’re able to look in the mirror while doing exercises, that really helps. It’s great that you’re working on these often overlooked stabilizer muscles. If you have access to it, many people benefit from PT.

Also idk this is totally anecdotal but I felt much more stability in my scapular movement whenever I started building my back muscles through pull ups and rows
