Hoping this finds someone. I’m a big girl who recently lost 75lb. I’m still big but gaining muscle. When do I know it’s time to start cutting and who should I follow on socials for advice?

This is just personal experience, and I don’t know where your start was, or if your goal is to lose more weight for health or for aesthetic but if you are currently lifting at a high body weight, starting a cut and just doing maintenance lifts (a.k.a. purposefully not trying to get stronger) it’s probably the vibe. Cutting is a lot easier when you’re not fatigued and body recomp gets harder as you progress.

Sure thing! I know a lot of influencers emphasize maintenance but as you progress in the gym and in your weight loss, it does get harder. I would look at how much more you want to lose overall, and maybe after you hit 20-25% of that, then you take a break where you switch into maintenance eating for a couple weeks and up your training, and then go back into your deficit.
