any1 here had success bulking without gaining too much fat? how much muscle did you gain? I feel like the trade off isn’t that worth it from what I’ve seen but idk

The average person does not need to bulk and cut cyclically those are bodybuilding techniques you can gain muscle on a moderate calorie surplus I wouldn’t think of it as a bulk just 300-500 above maintenance calories

oh I thought a surplus and bulk were interchangeable words, I’m eating like 200-300 above maintenance per day

ahh ok yeah that’s about as low as you can get to avoid extra fat gain it’s not gonna be a concern at 200-300 & yeah they’re definitely being used interchangeably in the fitness space which is causing women to gain way more weight in pursuit of muscle than need be bc they’re following the advice built for a man’s body and a man who’s bodybuilding at that

damn I didn’t know all that, thank you. I felt like it was unnecessary too. probably same as the people saying you need 1 million grams of protein in everything lol
