HELP! I started running/walking at least a mile every day on top of the weightlifting I’ve been doing since Aug but I’m gaining weight not losing. Is this normal?

Everything starts with ur diet, u could be working out hard, lifting heavy, doing everything right in the gym but if ur diet doesn’t align u won’t see progress. Make sure ur getting ur protein in while eating at a caloric deficit. This deficit is SUPERRR important when trying to lose weight, essentially calculate roughly the amount of calories u usually eat and eat under that. Do ur research bc it all depends on ur weight and just u in general. Im not big on tracking cals so at the very least…

But it must be the protein thing cause I’m in a deficit but I know I don’t check my protein intake

If ur in a deficit, r u doing cardio at least 2 days a week? U need to be burning more than u intake or at least close

Sorry just saw y said u were running. One thing that works for me to easily burn 1000 cals is the bike for an hour, guaranteed 1000 cal burn
