So my hot take is I don't believe the squat/lunge hype honestly. I do high foot positioning leg press and that's the same (if not better) range of motion and it's easier to load weight without having to worry about balancing

I personally just accepted that any lunge/single leg movement is gonna be my whole leg/ quad exercise of that leg day. I feel my glutes way more in a regular back squat, RDL, or step-up

i do high foot positioning leg press but i still just feel it in my quads! are you pointing your toes slightly out too? i've been doing that with my feet higher up on the press and pushing with my heels

I definitely do feel it in my quads too, if you can change the seat position move it forward and also get your knee as close to your shoulder as you can for the starting position
