saw someone say if you can do 8 up the weight if you can’t do 6 drop the weight. i’ve always thought if you can barely do 8 keep it there until you can do 12 and then up the weight. what’s everyone’s setxreps which is the right one ?

if u want toned less weight more reps if u want mass more weight less reps. either or more reps don’t hurt (w proper form ofc)

i usually do 9-12 and once that feels too easy i go up. if i can’t do 8 i go down

I usually go up to 12 depending on the exercise but 8-12 is a good range for telling when you go up in weight. Just read your body you know it better than anyone else

I do 6-10. 12 of anything on leg day is a major no go for me lol

Toning doesn’t exist tho, in both cases ur building muscle lower weight and higher reps is just less effective
