I have had the most terrifying Ryan gosling dreams lately It started out he and I were flirting and getting along rlly well then I asked if project Hail Mary was worth watching, he said fuck you and left I thought that was the end of it That is until a few days later…he came back…and he’s been trying to kill me ever since…

Hard. Disbanded in 2012.

It’s always great to see actors who can 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 sing do side-careers in music. Like Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Dexter) has Princess Goes To The Butterfly Museum.

I agree! Casting real talent for musical roles is great. I listened to the album and it’s pretty nice

It’s also nice when singer can acts decently as well. I’m not going to pretend it was the best thing out there, but Billie Joe Armstrong was pretty good in Ordinary World (2016) Look up the opening concert scene from the film. It’s brilliantly shot to actually be like a small 90s venue. Basically all the audio comes from the Mike he’s using on the sage so it has that rough atmosphere. A brilliant scene overall.

The greyscale filter really sells the vibe, I like it!

There’s a decent chance it was actually shot on film as the cinematographer is known for using older techniques for certain things like that, and because it was a relatively low-budget movie. Because it’s not just the greyscale, the movement and framerate on the video matches up with what you’d get on a camera like that. So it’s either actual film or they did a darn good job getting it to look like it

To this day I’m annoyed that 1.) He hasn’t done more stuff with The Longshot (I know it’s because he’s obviously still in Green Day and Pinhead Gunpowder is back but still), and 2.) THEY NEVER RELEASED THIS VERSION ON STREAMING OR CD! I like the original one but I’d love to not have to go to the files app and listen to my mp3 of it whenever I wanna hear it.

It also has such a bizarrely well known cast for the budget. Not only Billie, but Fred Amisen, Sean Gunn, Selma Blair, Judy Greer. Oh and Brian Baumgartner (Kevin from The Office) is also in it.

Update: I’m dumb. I forgot I can just load mp3s from iTunes to my Apple music library
