Imagine being so surface level that you completely ignore goth’s post punk roots and what punk stood for. Punk was so deeply tied to politics…like punk addressed classism and anarchism so much along with protests. You’re actually a poser if you can’t even understand the history of the subculture you are in.

Exactly! It is a push back against norms and mainstream beauty standards. #3 is frying me rn because I’m not even a goth from the West (I’m originally from Asia) and even I know a good amount of my subculture’s history.
