I moved back home 2 years ago after a bad relationship. Stayed w my family. Got closer to my parents. Saved money. Proud to say that I now have 129k in checking, 22k in my 401k, & almost 60k in my Roth, new friends, and a healthy relationship.
Anyway I was feeling proud. Today is a hard mental health day but I was reflecting

Great job but you really shouldn’t be holding that much in checking. Put like 80k of that at least in an index fund or at least a high yield savings account

Im probably older than you so that helps. But, I’m trying to save $2-3k each pay check and put it aside. That + stock investments + my bonus + any cash gifts get saved.
