My sister skidded and flipped her car yesterday in the snow. She is COMPLETELY unharmed. No concussion. No broken bones. No flesh wounds from the broken glass. 🤍🩵🤍🩵

This is why I spend so much money into expensive newer cars. They keep you safe.

This car is 12 years old. Nora(the car) has lived an amazing life, 200,000+ miles on her with no engine problems ever. You can get quality cars that aren’t expensive.

My brother was smashed by a semi truck that drunk driving. The trucker hit 2 cars. His was first and he survived with just whiplash in his 2023 Tucson. The 2nd driver (a old 2000’s Corolla) died on impact. Never drive a car that’s 10+ years old because safety features are not up to date and won’t keep you as safe. This is just a simple fact.

That 2000 Corolla is a perfect example of an old car with low quality. I drive a 2001 LX470 and she is a Tank! I do understand the need for safety. I believe if an old car is well maintained, then it is totally safe to drive.

I think it’s kinda ignorant to go based off just the new styles and not the actual safety features each car itself has. I’ve heard of newer cars being more dangerous too

Right? And #2 said “This is why I spend so much money on cars” like they knew what year my sister’s car was? The year doesn’t matter, the performance does.

You have yellow headlights so I knew it was older than 7 years.

Right and like newer cars are ALWAYS dependable… I also heard car companies purposely don’t prioritize safety but designs. I guess we found their target audience lol

*yawn* look at safety regulations by the years here: https://www.nhtsa.gov/how-vehicle-safety-has-improved-over-decades Your reaction and vibes replying come off as the same people who drive cars from the 1950’s because “they good cars if you maintain them”. Like bruh, seatbelts weren’t required until 1968. I’m sure that car didn’t have ABS brakes in them that would have prevented skidding.

Bro nobody said old cars are the best. I said don’t be a sheep and think cause it’s new it’s better. And again safety regulations don’t mean companies are doing it and they if they do they ensure MINIMUM safety levels. They could care less about u, they care about ur money. So look into companies that DO prioritize safety

Lol clearly none of y’all can’t google safety regulations or go to the link I dropped. After so many years of shown stable platform and functional it becomes required by law. The law makes car manufacturers have safety features as standard. Not arguing with anyone on facts, you can go kick rocks. Glad OP’s sister is safe and I hope they got a good insurance check

A lot of things are required by law but that has not stopped companies from breaking them or barelyyyy passing. U are a sheep. Only thing I’m agreeing w is OPs sis being good💯
