To Catholics, Christmas is not over. It’s Christmas until Epiphany on 6th of January. The twelve days of Christmas song is for 25 Dec to 5 Jan. Boxing Day is on the 26th of December in many countries like Canada

What? She mentioned Hanukkah also, so I assumed she was wishing everyone Happy Holidays? Why the hostility?

Yeah kwanza is not American in the slightest lol. It may be recognized by some people in America but it’s not American.

How is it hostile to ask her & you to count? Look up a standard 🇺🇸 calendar. How many holidays are listed after Dec 26th? Why would you both be wishing someone of a different cultural-holiday, happy Christmas & Hanukkah after they’ve passed and theirs has started!❓

Are you sure they would identify as an American

American isn’t an identity you can choose or not to choose to identity as in this context. He is an American legally

Are you that adverse to free, factual, information? Accessible on the VERY device you choose to demonstrate willful ignorance.

I think you’re forgetting New Years is literally a week from Kwanzaa and perhaps why she wished you a happy holidays? For you, that would be plural, no? (Kwanzaa + New Years?). For me, I was just giving you info you were misinformed about - that Christmas was “over”. It’s still Christmas to many. There are 54 million Catholics in the US alone. Hope you enjoyed your Kwanzaa!
