I read something once that helped me with this: “Don’t borrow grief from the future, it will come when it comes, but until then, don’t let it come to you prematurely” Obviously easier said than done, but I think it’s comforting

My dad passed when I was 15 and he been terrified of being an orphan ever since. My mom has always been my best friend and the person I’ve always gone to in any situation. The fear just lives in the back of my head
