Women are lonely too though. Men just bitch about it more. Either way, we should be angry at social media companies for intentionally fostering addictions to their product, and at the slow erosion of public spaces for socialization.

There’s always been women with higher standards and lonely guys. The only reason there’s a male loneliness epidemic being talked about now is because everyone is so online these days so there’s more people who think that the redpill incel or the “kill all men” feminists are views people actually believe in. Everyone’s socializing on apps instead of in person genuinely making connections. (I swear I’m not a boomer guys 😬)

How are these statements at all related? The “male loneliness epidemic” (as you derisively put it in quotes) refers more to friendships and relationship with family than relationships. For every straight woman in a relationship, a straight man is as well, and for every single straight man there is a single straight woman (roughly speaking). This seems like a weird strawman

“Loneliness rates” for men and women are highly correlated and have both been rising at a similar rate. That reflects relationships. But the fact that the rate for men is substantially higher than for women pretty much at all times tells us there are other factors at play.
