i bought a case of my fav school lunches loool it's like $1.60/serving and 17g protein ea and i pop it in the toaster oven. for things actually prepped, i like salads since there's little to no cooking involved and only takes a few min for a giant mixer bowl's worth. i also like soups and rice porridge (common food in my country + easy on the stomach if you feel nauseous/dizzy), miso is a staple for me. for snacks i like built puffs, abalone, dehydrated korean sweet potato sticks, dried meats,

Local Asian market. Find a good broth and some noodles, don’t forget the veggies and/or meat. Even something like a rotisserie chicken will do. It’s so comforting

and fresh produce that's easy to grab without effort like celery, baby carrots, fruit, etc. this one is a little more long term but when i feel a bit better i often make my own dehydrated meals for camping anyways so during an episode it's easy to still have a well balanced meal with just some hot water but you can also buy them pre-made, it's just more expensive

Soups and salads are so good! I actually bought a salad kit but forgot to use it and I had to throw it away.

dehydrator was like $100 so def a bit of an investment but i've had it for years now and use it to make my own meat or fruit jerky and full meals. i store them in mylar bags but sometimes i'll store individual ingredients in just any regular airtight container, you'll want oxygen absorbers and desiccants if you go this route though, but it keeps me eating GOOD when i can barely get out of bed and it's great for produce you get on sale or don't want to feel pressured to use asap

totally makes sense, you may prefer frozen or dehydrated veggies/fruit so you don't have to use them asap and take off that pressure from yourself!!!

From the Asian market what type of veg and meat do you usually get? I considered getting like pork belly and maybe like bok choy and fried mushrooms to enhance the broth

Yes! I hear pork belly is really good. I don’t eat pork so I normally do the thinner slices of beef with some bok Choy, green onions, and bean sprouts. I also add an egg with dumplings on the side😋
