Or he’s scared of you hurting him again or changing your mind again and after being hurt/rejected by you he doesn’t want to go through that pain again. I wouldn’t either tbh. So to him it’s just not worth it to get feelings involved but he’s still attracted to you physically and likely only suggested it to hurt you as a bit of passive aggressive payback. Either way, you should probably just let him go.
