shampoo 2-3 times each time and shampoo as often as necessary. really scrub with your finger pads for a few minutes. add small amounts of water during scrubbing. make sure you’re using warm water. i’m a licensed stylist

sounds like buildup, try a clarifying shampoo—if you oil your hair before washing it, do clarifying > regular shampoo > conditioner on ends. buildup also shows itself as the gray "lint" on brushes. wash the ones you use too as that does contribute to your own buildup/grease iirc. hope this helps!

My absolute favorite all time clarifying shampoo is the Ouai detox shampoo. Magic.

I use my conditioner first. Then shampoo. It works for me.
