Number one itโs all about discipline. Try going to the gym like 3-4 times a week even if you donโt feel like it (obvi if ur super sick donโt go lol). It honestly took be about a year to see some results. Iโm in year two now of going to the gym and the results keep progressing! But it really is all about patience and consistency:)
I have a chronic illness which is why I am really worried about the impact it may have on my energy. I am not looking to gain muscle, though, just keep myself healthy in any way I can. Did you notice any mental improvements sooner than that one year mark? Or was it mostly the pride of getting yourself to the gym each week (either would be good for me honestly)
The mental health improvement definitely came through in less than a year. Consistent exercise is good for the brain. There were some weeks where I could only be at the gym for just a day and even then that was super helpful for my brain. Donโt have to be anything crazy, Iโd just be doing some light exercise sometimes and it would be good enough for me. Whatever youโre comfortable with go for it โค๏ธ
