i hardly wear makeup and go for “barely there”. i love a liquid blush (elf’s blush tint in cherry cola!) and highlighter. on my eyes i do a brown mascara and when i wear eyeliner i use a dark brown instead of black, it’s more natural. then i use a clear brow gel and im set

I got you!! Put bronzer just under your cheekbones and swipe it across your temples slightly up onto your the sides of your forehead, on your eyelids, a circle on the end of your nose, and blend in toward your hairline/up motions. Swipe some blush just above your temples and upward motions on your cheeks!! Use a little bit of concealer on the edges of your eyes and sides of your nose (always blend up to keep lifted look), either brush your eyebrows to flush them up/fill them in, swipe a little h

You’d want an oil based foundation and concealer with light to medium coverage, brand preference is up to you but I just get covergirl because it’s cheap and good quality. Get a setting spray or even you can make your own easily with a little spray bottle and a YouTube video (super important to use a setting spray if you want a dewy look rather than mat, a powder will make it look drier)

Highlighter on the inside corners of your eyes, above your cheekbones and on the end of your nose/a little on your top lip, mascara and you’re done, for pro tip if you have fair skin use brown mascara with black on the ends for a fuller more natural look

I was also gonna ask if you think it’s worth it to splurge on high end makeup as beginner or should I just stick to drugstore and add higher end products as I start to improve?

Work your way up after figuring out what products you like :)

As someone in the middle stages of beginner to expert, drug store makeup can actually slap. I personally use a lot of elf and nyx, but some of my makeup products are now more high end. One of my favorite makeup products is blush, so I go for more high end blush products. I highly recommended about face! Good luck!

I go in with a light pink silvery eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes, hight the top of my nose, and the cupids bow. It stays better than a normal highlighter. Go from foundation to a cream blush & contour (sticks tend to be more oily and liquid tends to be more water based so it dries matter) I love the fenty beauty cream blush but there is also a liquid covergirl one that has shimmer in it that is amazing.

If you want really bold bright eye colors, get a good eyeshadow palette. But if you are more for muted or natural colors, any pallet will do (I recommend looking at TJMaxx). If you want one pop of color occasionally, get a colored eyeliner or glitter eyeliner!

Definitely drugstore! The expensive brands are almost never worth it in quality except for some eyeshadows and the occasional blush imo
