That’s actually how I got my bf lol I watched the summer I turned pretty and then he (as a friend) wanted to watch it so he came over every week during the whole semester and we would talk for hours and one thing led to another by finals lol, best rewatch of my life

Buttt the point is that I watched it first by myself with no prior expectations and let myself live, and thennn enjoyed it later with a guy when the time was right 🙃
