why do you take off weeks? i will literally skip my 3 iron pills if i’m too busy to be stopped by a heavy period 🥲

i was gonna just skip my period but last week i got really anxious and convinced myself i was pregnant for literally no reason so i needed to have period as visual confirmation 💀

When I was on the pill I would bleed super light on the off days. But some people like it to remind them they’re not pregnant

i’m on the ring and i usually don’t skip but i wanted confirmation i wasn’t pregnant bc i was worried abt it irrationally so i didn’t skip this month

exactly this! I bleed super light now that i’m on bc and it’s not enough to need a tampon, but it is enough that I’m going to be paranoid about bleeding through my bathing suit lol, didn’t want to wait another month for confirmation I wasn’t pregnant tho lmao

wait so on the ring you still have to take the pill? i’ve only ever taken the pill so sorry if that was a dumb question.

i don’t take the pill! when you’re on the ring you leave it in for 3 weeks, and then you can either immediately put in a new one to skip or take it out for a week to have a period!

i cannot be trusted to take a birth control pill every day at the exact same time and i admire those that take the pill lmao, i don’t even take my thyroid medication that i need properly 💀

honestly i forget to take my pill. i’m not sexually active at all but i have pcos so sometimes i miss a period naturally or i’ll start one and immediately start taking all my meds correctly. sometimes i do try to stay very consistent with my meds when i need to feel like i have my life together 😭

of course!! it’s a lesser known about birth control and i love talking to people about it because i think it’s really important for people to know all of their options and find the one that fits their life the best! for me it’s the perfect compromise of not having the pain of IUD insertion and not having to take a pill every day lol

I had a little bit of a rough time adjusting to it the first few months because it was my first ever birth control, but after that I’ve loved being on it
