ppl call me a purist for saying porn should be banned. That just shows how normalized it is😭

Porn being made illegal would be BAD. There’s no strict legal definition of porn, it’s just (paraphrasing), something made with the intention of causing arousal. Lawmakers, legislators, etc could deem anything as “porn” to have it banned

If porn gets banned then more unethical porn will be made cause all porn will have to be made illegal so no one is watching or reporting the porn made without consent

No I completely agree. Porn is a hub for trafficking and child abuse as well

Would unfortunately be detrimental to the LGBTQ+ community as well as women, I’m afraid

Porn ruins mens image of women… youre saying we should keep porn around because its detrimental to women? Isnt it more detrimental to keep it around bc of how men abuse porn???

I’m saying that tight dresses could be banned bc they elicit arousal, skirts of certain lengths could be outlawed, bathing suits, etc. I’m not in favor of porn and I wish it could be made illegal but I can also recognize that the ppl in charge would just use the law to oppress women & gay ppl more. I’m not arguing I’m just trying to explain why making it illegal would be bad

Other countries have regulations on pornography. I also know certain states in the US have banned popular porn websites. I dont see why we cant be harsher or more regulatory toward pornography. Its so harmful to the women in the industry and I know sex trafficking is involved with it as well. I dont know exactly everything about it but I dont think its wrong to believe it should be stopped altogether

Okay I get it, but how can we prevent people from accessing it so regularly then? I havent been able to meet a single man who doesnt have a porn addiction and im so angry at how it impacts us nowadays….

I have no clue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ age restrictions on popular sites was a good start but it’ll still get around, people will just get better at hiding it
