I fear with the way our criminal justice system is set up the death penalty will always be used to disproportionately execute marginalized groups with a huge emphasis on Black men, the death penalty cannot be used in a truly just way for that reason. It’s also been proven to not be a deterrent, harsher sentencing and expansion of the death penalty haven’t brought down crime rates at all

Yeah I know it's a tough balance but basically I posted this because there's been a man stalking me and looking in my windows for a couple months now and the cops can't do anything and I'm so angry that I'm supposed to just be the scared little girl and he gets that power.
